Abstract

Alar-85 produced sturdier plants, higher yields and heavier fruits, especially at single but higher concentrations of application, and can be advantageously used with double application at increased plant populations. Ethrel at double application excessively reduced plant height and induced proliferation of basal branches beyond advantageous levels. At single application, cycocel increased plant height by increasing internode length, and also appeared to enhance fruit yields.
