Ultrasonic velocity (u), density (ρ) and viscosity (η) of amino acid in aqueous media have been made at 303.15, 308.15 and 313.15K to investigate ion-solvent interactions. From experimental data acoustical parameters such as adiabatic compressibility (βa), acoustic impedance (z), intermolecular free length (Lf), relative association (RA) have been estimated using the standard relations with various concentrations and temperatures, with a view to investigate the exact nature of the molecular interaction. The gradual increase in ultrasonic velocity (u), density (ρ), acoustic impedance (z), relative association (RA) and gradual decrease of adiabatic compressibility (βa) and intermolecular free length (Lf) suggested the presence of strong ion-solute interactions. These parameters have further used to interpret the hydrophilic part o f the solute and molecular interactions in the solutions.
