The spread of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic caused a sudden and significant disruption in healthcare services, especially for patients suffering from chronic diseases. We aimed at evaluating the impact of the pandemic on adherence to chronic therapies through a systematic review of available studies. Since the early phases of the COVID-19 pandemic, several sectors have gotten worse as the coronavirus spared has intensified. The pandemic had a significant impact on many other industries, including the health industry, which was impacted in many ways. Health professionals specifically questioned the patient's ability to take their medication as prescribed despite obstacles. This poll attempts to identify and discuss the likelihood that individuals on chronic medicines would get and routinely take their medications as directed. Two online questionnaires were created with Google forms and given to patients with chronic illnesses and pharmacists in the Khartoum area. The survey was carried out during the study period to obtain the most recent data. According to the data, 81.4% of the population reported difficulty acquiring their chronic medicine during the pandemic. According to pharmacist drug availability in pharmacies decrease by 87%, despite that a considerably high percentage adhere to take their drugs (84%), and were able to obtain it by different approaches more than half of the patients ordered their medication from outside illegally, besides other approach that will be discussed through the paper
