Abstract

This chapter discusses the classification, proposed pathophysiology, clinical presentation and Management of Cutis Verticis Gyrata, including imaging and histopathological studies and will be beneficial to readers to for knowledge and management about this rare disease.

This chapter provides an overview of the diagnosis and management of Cutis Verticis Gyrata. Bulldog scalp syndrome or Cutis verticis gyrate, a rare cutaneous disorder with an incidence of just 0.026-1 per lakh population. Cosmetic problems are the major concern that can affect patients' social and psychological health.

Additionally, the chapter provides a detailed discussion of the surgical options available. The importance of a multidisciplinary approach to the management of this condition is emphasized, with a special emphasis on the role of the plastic surgeon.
